Ashley and Nik first met in high school where they shared many mutual friends. Their paths crossed often throughout college - going to concerts, the beach, or just hanging with friends. They started seeing each other more in 2015, shortly before Ashley moved to Milwaukee after graduating college. In 2016, they both made a long drive to meet up at a music festival in Des Moines, Iowa, and spent the whole weekend together making memories and having fun. Afterwards, the two started traveling to see each other more often, driving to whichever city marked the halfway point between them. They officially began dating in December of 2016, and were long-distance for the first two years of their relationship. The long drives and flights to see each other continued until 2018, when Nik spent the summer in Milwaukee and eventually moved there at the beginning of 2019. They moved to Charlotte, living there for 3 years before relocating to Atlanta in 2022. Two years later, Nik asked Ashley to marry him after a wonderful day out to brunch and the art museum, followed by an extravagant celebratory dinner. They have since settled down in Atlanta, buying their first home in 2024 and adopting the pride & joy of their lives, Chorizo, at the beginning of 2025.

Ashley and Nik plan to elope in Sicily, Italy on September 27th, 2025, with their immediate families. They are so blessed to have a community of family & friends who love and support them, and are so grateful to everyone for their support through the next chapter of their lives.
